Modern, Mature and Motivated (M3) is how we define our leadership program for dynamic, active senior adults 50 and older. Our M3 Leadership program began in 2008 and is made up of retired or semi-retired adults who wish to learn more about their community and become more involved in making Donelson, Hermitage and Old Hickory community a better place to live.

Program Expectations

Participants are expected to attend orientation, a one day retreat and program days August through December that are intended to enhance community awareness and participate on a class project. The topics of program days include history, diversity, volunteering, government, transportation, culture, faith, criminal justice and transportation.

Working with the M3 Projects Chair each class will complete a community project. Some examples of past projects include working shows at the Larry Keeton Theatre at the FiftyForward Donelson Station, volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank in Donelson; and cleaning the signs at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage.
